Swan Wash

M Gloomy post-punk with a strong artistic identity. Excellent command of a somewhat minimalist musical approach based on a foundation of stomping drums, full-tone picked J-bass, and shimmering guitar lines. Scott's distinctive and expressive vocals are a highlight. Favorite track: Yard.

Porkandham If you haven't heard Swan Wash before, you can probably see the play button right now. I suggest you press it. This band is a perfectly formed concept; you can point out what everything does and exactly why it does it. The bass is what really drives these songs, with the drums providing strong a percussive backbone and the guitar kind of dancing around everything gracefully while the vocals narrate over the goings-on of the band. Definitely one of the most complete bands I've heard in a while. Favorite track: Motion Figure.

svaldruh Wistful, graceful, and more fully formed than a group has any right to be on their first release. More, please. Favorite track: Floor Camp.

fifty yards across the backyard leaves hiss in the quiet, quiet dusk I read something about a black backdrop four years new, but it's here inside me too watch my little legs go how fast can they go? how long until thrill turns over and burns the nascent mind? outside the leaves still hiss I don't feel afraid anymore but my body still shakes as fast as little legs go how fast can you go? outside the leaves still hiss
